Mr. Ismael Kalipi is a registered Professional Engineer and seasoned mining executive with over 19 years of experience in the mining industry. He currently serves as Head of Mining Department and Executive Assistant for Mining Operations, where he provides strategic leadership and technical oversight across Mining, Maintenance, and Mineral Resources Management to deliver on production, safety, cost, project, and talent objectives. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Stellenbosch Business School, a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mining), and a Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Civil) from the University of the Witwatersrand. He has also completed the Senior Management Development Programme and is registered with the Engineering Council of Namibia. His previous roles include Principal Mining Engineer at Skorpion Zinc and Head of Mining Maintenance at Swakop Uranium, where he drove improvements in operational efficiency, equipment reliability, safety compliance, and project execution. He brings strong expertise in strategy execution, governance, risk, and performance management.
